Each step brings the sound of the crunching snow to our ears. Each gust of wind rips open our fur lined clothes just enough to let slip in and steal some of the little precious heat our bodies are generating while bringing some frozen crystals to melt against our skin. As each gust dies the twirling snow resumes its slow dance around the landscape and it's trees. Each step brings us one step further into this frozen tundra as we try to find shelter from this bone freezing chill.
"How much longer? I'm cold" whimpers my fellow comrade. I turn towards her and watch as the fairies play with her honey blond hair that hold bits of snow trapped in it. Her light green eyes seem to have shrunk from the cold giving her face a slightly overall Christmas look when combined with her wind raw cheeks of her pale skin.
